This post is about Galata Tower, one of the oldest towers in the world. Made by Byzantium Emperor Anastasius in 507 under the name Lighthouse Tower. The tower was first made by wood but later rebuilt with pile stone. The Tower got under Ottoman Empire's managment in 1453. Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi -the first man who flew in history- put wooden wings to his arms and flew from Galata Tower to Üsküdar. Galata Tower got its name from the historical province in İstanbul, from Galata and is still used for turistic information. For more info: http://www.galatatower.net/

*Geçtiğimiz hafta sonu dondurucu soğuğa rağmen Galata civarının tadını çıkardım. Birbirinden güzel butikleri ve cafeleri keşfettim ve tabii yine fotoğraf makinam elimdeydim. Neyseki turistik yerlerde fotoğraf çekenleri yadırgamıyorlar ama düz yolda resim çekince insana neden kınanan bakışlar atılıyor anlamıyorum. Japonum ben japon, içimde engellenemeyen bir fotoğraf çekme arzusu vaaaaaar :p
