HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY♥

Mother's Day is a celebration that honors mothers and motherhood. The majority of countries are celebrating Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May. Celebrations of mothers and motherhood occur throughout the world. Many of these trace back to ancient festivals. The history of Mother's Day commes from the Egyptians. The Egyptians celebrated an annual festival to honor the goddess Isis, who was commonly regarded as the Mother of the pharaohs. The modern holiday is an American invention. Julia Ward Howe was the first to proclaim Mother's Day in 1870. Her Mother's Day Proclamation was a reaction to the American Civil War and the Franco-Prussian War.
